Work Experience 

John spent 23 years in the energy industry with a Fortune 150 company.  Starting as a pipe fitter, he quickly earned entry into the salary group.  While there, he had various positions eventually working up to Director of Customer Service with responsibility of multiple call centers in multiple states.  He was the CRM application owner as well as capital projects and A/P approver.  Staffing, call center metrics, close rates, training, billing & collections, and vendor management were all part of his duties during his time as Director.

Training Experience


From 2001 until 2017, John was an avocational trainer for the local Dale Carnegie franchise.  He became full-time with Dale Carnegie in 2017 as VP Sales & Marketing and Equity Partner in 2019.  He has worked with many small, medium, large, and global companies during his time as a trainer.  While being a ‘Dale Course’ trainer is always his first go to as a recommendation for professional development, John specializes in sales, sales management, and leadership training.  He has facilitated dozens of sessions with hundreds of graduates over the years.


Industry Training Experience


Within John’s 21 years as a certified trainer, he has worker with many industries including construction, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, retail, education, non-profits, etc.  His time spent within call centers positions him well to work with the leaders and reps within call centers.  Additionally, John is a Vet and is always willing to help fellow Vets in any capacity.
