Harry Abplanalp
Training Advisor; Trainer
Harry joined Dale Carnegie in October 2020 after retiring from the Air Force with 20 years of military service. Harry’s background in Aircraft Maintenance, Career Counseling, and Training & Development brings a decade of leadership, coaching, and training experience to the team. As an advocate for employee engagement and interpersonal skills, he piloted the development of the Air Force’s first frontline leadership course in 2018 to address this skill gap, earning him the Air Force’s 2019 Employee and Organizational Development Director of the Year accolade.
In his first two years with the team, Harry was awarded the Dale Carnegie “Rook of the Year” Sales Award and the WOW trainer award. These awards reflect Harry’s commitment to his clients and their development. Harry has logged over 450 training hours in the previous 2 years and is looking forward to Senior Trainer Certification in the coming year.
Harry graduated from Columbia Southern University with an MBA (Human Resource Development Concentration) with Magna Cum Laude honors. He also has a graduate certificate from Gettysburg College in Executive Leadership and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt practitioner. Additionally, as a small business owner in Sevier County since 2016, Harry brings over 7 years of business experience to the table when advising, coaching, and training clients.
Harry currently lives in Kodak, TN, with his wife Angie. He enjoys reading, golf, traveling, and playing with his two dogs, Hank and Grissom.
