Grow top-line revenue through the franchise network by proposing and delivering learning consulting services such as assessments, coaching, competency development, instructional design and other related services aligned with our brand and strategy.  Grow retained revenue to DC&A to cover all organizational costs as network top line grows.

Job Description:

The Custom Solutions Manager is responsible for developing and overseeing project designs, implementing ideas for each project, and guiding the organization in these areas. The project designs must use incorporate collaborative technology and applications as well as planning and creativity to brainstorm ideas and develop them online or on paper.

The Custom Solutions Manager also manages a pool team of ID consultants, develops live online courses, and helps write instructional design and executive summary portions of client proposals as necessary.


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in training management, instructional design and/or OD consulting.

  • 5 + years of experience managing a team of learning and development professionals and consultants

  • 5+ years of experience in design & development of e-learning courseware

  • Outstanding writing and instructional design skills.

  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and deliver results with aggressive timeline.

  • Highly self-motivated with significant personal initiative.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Minimum Education Required:

  • BS/BA in Business, Communication, Marketing, and 10+ years of related experience.



  • Design, develop and manage blended course development solutions projects along with providing strategic leadership for client learning initiatives.

  • Design and implement web-based teaching platforms and learning opportunities.

  • Evaluate, maintain and update instructional materials for content and appearance.

  • Create and analyze evaluations to assess student progress.

  • Edit content from proposal writers/ID consultants for grammar, flow, and fit.

  • Maintain a variable cost, scalable instructional design model by recruiting potential contractor instructional designers who can be engaged on demand for custom design work.  The contractors should be capable of meeting our quality and turnaround time requirements, and use our design templates and process.

  • Clearly articulate and communicate to sales teams when to involve internal versus external resources, both for assessment products and contractor consultants.

  • Work with Director of Sales Operations and Engagement Manager to ensure successful handoff of client engagements. 

  • Responsible for contracts and negotiations with consulting agreements.

  • Propose and manage both cost and revenue budgets.

  • Must be able to communicate in a professional and credible manner. Excellent research skills and the ability to write persuasively and articulately are essential.

  • Write new content or narrative as required for proposals, weaving proposal themes throughout.
