Dale Carnegie Signs New Book Deal with Top Publisher, Simon & Schuster
Renowned Professional and Business Leadership Training Company Modernizes Timeless Principles in First Release Since 100th Anniversary
Melville, N.Y. – Dale Carnegie announced today that it has signed a deal with long-time publishing partner, Simon & Schuster, to publish a new book. The company that set the standard in transformative professional leadership training for individuals and organizations is drawing inspiration from the timeless principles authored in Dale Carnegie’s two best-sellers, How to Win Friends and Influence People and How to Stop Worrying and Start Living, and pairing them with fresh stories gathered via interviews with hundreds of leaders from around the globe.
Simon and Schuster was the original publisher of both best-selling books. This new addition to the Dale Carnegie collection entitled, Take Command, will focus extensively on storytelling and the brand’s principles, so readers can easily apply the ideas to their own career’s and lives. Targeting the next generation of game-changing leaders, the book guides readers amid the challenges of today’s rapidly changing workplace. Take Command continues Dale Carnegie’s legacy of providing profound yet practical advice to current and future generations of leaders.
Providing a fresh look at Dale Carnegie’s proven principles through the lens of today’s challenges, the book contains insights from some of the world’s most successful leaders, while also finding inspiration from young professionals in their day-to-day challenges and offers powerful strategies for life-long success. Take Command will be broken into three parts: “Take Command of Your Thoughts”, “Take Command of Your Relationships” and “Take Command of Your Future.” Dynamic leadership concepts explored throughout the book delve into how to build resilience, manage stress and anxiety, master effective communication, and create meaningful connections to achieve goals and carry out one’s vision.
“I’m proud to announce what will be a new highlight in the history of Dale Carnegie,” said Joe Hart, CEO of Dale Carnegie and Associates. “I’ve said that Dale Carnegie’s books and our training is most powerful when we are telling real stories. We’re looking forward to sharing more details about the book once we have a clearer picture of its release date.”
Take Command will be co-authored by Hart and Michael Crom, former Chief Learning Officer and current board member of the company. Together, they carry a wealth of leadership and business experience.
Before becoming CEO in 2015, Hart worked closely with the company as a strategic partner for nearly 10 years. He credits a great deal of his success to the Dale Carnegie training that he received early on in his career. Likewise, Crom retired from his position as Chief Learning Officer of Dale Carnegie after a 35-year career with the company, where he was responsible for product and trainer development. An experienced writer, he has co-authored several other books on leadership and was a nationally syndicated columnist for Gannett Newspapers.
