Marketing & Training Analyst

Location Naugatuck, CT, US

Duties:  Under direct supervision, conduct market research and business analyses and marketing/sales presentations for existing and prospective clients on the best solutions and training courses that Dale Carnegie Training has to offer which meet client objectives.  Deliver and implement training solutions to meet client objectives.  Conduct on-site client training.  Qualify sales leads and determine viability of leads turning into client relationships in order to maximize the efficient use of company resources.  Apply knowledge of outbound sales calls to develop a database of prospects to grow the client base.  Provide project support for training initiatives.  Review training materials and confirm training curriculum, provide client updates, analyze data.  Write training summaries.  Manage training projects from start to finish, and coordinate overall tasks and timelines.  Responsible for planning, preparing, scheduling and executing the training plan.  Consult with clients to determine performance gaps and generate innovative solutions.  Conduct learning needs analysis to identify the appropriate training materials, delivery, and schedule to enhance learning and application. Provide input and sign off on learning needs analysis.  Analyze and report on market data meeting clients’ goals in order to determine improvements which are possible in a client’s given market.  Monitor client projects to ensure that Dale Carnegie Training complies with the timetable and budget constraints set by the client.  Travel domestically up to 40% to conduct on-site client training.  Involves the opportunity to telecommute from home from within the New Haven area up to 4 days per week, as feasible.  Tools used: Salesforce.com product suite.


Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or related field (foreign equivalent acceptable) plus 6 months of experience in the job offered or 6 months of experience in market research and sales consulting. Must have experience in conducting marketing/sales presentations with clients; consulting with clients (including related to outbound sales calls); client account management; qualifying sales leads, and performing market research analysis.  Must have effective analytical, research, oral and written communication, and presentation skills.  Must be able to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment, successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously, and work as a team member, as well as independently.  Willing to travel domestically up to 40%.  40 hours/week.
